Visited the museum in such a rainy day today. The exhibits are multiple and cool, different from architecture, historic relic to modern art. There was also a special exhibit of Arab women named “She who tells the story” (or whatever like that), included photos, paintings, videos, etc. I was kind of interested in it because we Chinese knows little about them. The only information we know about the Arab world are wars and poor children in the news. It helps me to understand the mysterious nation more or less.
It would be a little bit awkward when I looked into those exhibits from China, especially the head of Guan Yin Bodhisattva. Most of my family are Chinese Buddhist, which affected me somewhat. I understand that it may be another way of protecting and spreading human culture. I was not meaning being offended, but there was still a little bit uncomfortable. Just imagine a head of Jesus sculpture was cut and display in a Eastern country… That will never be a pleasure, right?
